7-Day of Western Discovery: River, Lemurs & Limestone
Itinerary:
Day 1: Antananarivo – Antsirabe
- After breakfast, you will leave Antananarivo to reach Antsirabe and drive via Ambatolampy for a visit at the traditional pot factory then the ride continue to Antsirabe.
- Stop for lunch and then go to Betafo for the visit of Lake Tritriva along the way.
- Overnight at Soa Lia Hotel Antsirabe
Day 2: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Morondava
- Early in the morning, you leave Antsirabe to reach Miandrivazo with a possible stop in Dabolava; the road is about 6 hours.
- Lunch in the city of Miandrivazo then continue the road to Morondava which is about 5 hours.
- Overnight at Baobab Café Hotel
Day 3: Morondava – Kirindy – Belo
- Early in the morning, we leave the hotel to attend the sunrise on the Baobab avenue. Afterwards continue towards Belo with a daytime visit in Kirindy Reserve in order to see sifaka lemurs if possible. The road is quite long and tiring but it is part of the adventure.
- Overnight at Mad Zebu hotel
Day 4: Belo – Bekopaka
- After breakfast, you continue to Bekopaka crossings over the Tsiribihina and Manambolo rivers.
- Upon arrival, visit of the small Tsingy. The Manambolo is only accessible in the morning.
- Overnight at Soleil des Tsingy
Day 5: Tsingy de Bemaraha
- Early in the morning, visit of the cave along the Manambolo river then visit of the Grand Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park. The hike is about 4 hours .
- Overnight at Soleil des Tsingy
Day 6: Bekopaka – Belo – Morondava
- Early morning departure from Bekopaka to Morondava in order to arrive in time to visit the Baobab Avenue again at sunset.
- Overnight at Baobab Café Hotel .
Day 7: Morondava – Antananarivo (by flight)
- Transfer to Morondava airport for your return flight in the morning.
