Tsingy Rouge

The Tsingy Rouge is a surreal natural wonder tucked just outside Diego Suarez in northern Madagascar. Unlike the sharp limestone tsingy found elsewhere in the country, these formations are sculpted from red laterite soil, giving them their signature fiery hue. Wind and rain have carved the landscape into delicate spires and pinnacles that seem almost otherworldly. Easily accessible by car, it’s a perfect stop for an afternoon outing—and a must-see for anyone exploring the north.
