Ambositra

Ambositra is both a district and a town located north of Fianarantsoa. The district has a population of around 315,000, with the town itself home to over 40,000 residents. Known as the main training grounds for Madagascar’s Gendarmerie, Ambositra is also celebrated for its incredible artisanship and offers rich opportunities to experience rural life in the country’s highlands.
