We are a Canadian/Malagasy couple that wish to make a difference and have an impact on the future lives and ongoing development and survival of the country of Madagascar. We offer an eco-friendly experience with a green building: bamboo furniture, solar energy, water well, solar hot water system, eco-friendly fridge, organic vegetable garden, dry toilets, grey water management, solar cooking etc.
Our guests are able to enjoy all the comforts they expect on their holidays with a pollution free environment, hot and cold running water, away from the city noise and pollution - yet still only 15 minutes drive from the major supermarkets, all while experiencing a different way of life.
We see ourselves and our place as transitioning towards a greener future, more sustainable for the people and for the planet. There are 12 people living on the property of which 8 are children all of varying ages. We welcome our guests to interact with the Ravinala House residents, give English, French or gardening sessions through fun activities.
We are located between Tanjombato and Andoharanofotsy, easily accessible by public transportation as well as by private vehicle.
We speak English, French and Malagasy.
