Let's take a day trip out of the big city of Antananarivo and head to the countryside of Ampefy.

Iinerary:

Ampefy is a beautiful village situated at 120 km west of Antananarivo. It is one of the most appreciated places to spend the week end for people from the city and for tourist. The famous Itasy lake, the Lily waterfall, the Ilot de la vierge and the Geyser of Amparaky are the main attraction sites that you will visit.

We take the National road 1 which is one of the best roads in Madagascar. The drive takes about 2 hours with some stops along the road.

We will visit of the Geyser of Analavory, the Ampefy Village and the Lily Waterfall. Embark in a dugout canoe, crossing Itasy lake then arrival at Lot de la Vierge.

A visit to Lemur’s Park is a must. It is a private park, 5-ha site located 22 km southwest of Antananarivo along the RN1 (towards Ampefy), between the villages of Fenoarivo and Imerintsiatosika.
