Madagascar Adventure 15 Days and 14 Nights

Day 1: Antananarivo

  • You will be greeted on arrival by your guide who helps you finish all the formalities and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: Antananarivo - Andasibe

  • After breakfast, depart for a visit to to Peyreiras Reptile Reserve (3 hours on drive) to see up close captive panther chameleons, island chameleons, stump-tail chameleons, Brookesia chameleons, golden mantella frogs, tomato frogs, Madagascar tree boas, leaf-nose snakes, cat-eyed snakes, tenrecs, numerous species of leaf tail geckos. The curators of the reserve usually take the animals out of their enclosures to allow close photographs. Continue to Andasibe with stops at the landscapes for photos and any break if necessary.

Day 3: Andasibe

  • After breakfast, meet with your guide with for the visit of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park and trek along trails to see wild diademed sifakas, wooly sifakas, common brown lemur and the famous Indri Indri. Explore the trails for orchids and birdlife. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vakona lodge’s reserve to see common brown sifaka, grey bamboo lemurs and the black and white ruffed lemurs.

Day 4: Antananarivo - Morondava - Kirindy

  • After breakfast, transfer directly to Antananarivo airport for a flight to Morondava. Get some shots of the beautiful scenery in the place before continuing to Kirindy. Check-in at your hotel There is a guided night walks at Kirindy. The private reserve is well- known by its giant jumping rat, the “Fosa”, the largest carnivorous animal in the country. It is also one of the reserve having most endangered ecosystems, lemur species, and many endemic reptile species. There are also some unique species of rare flora.

Day 5: Kirindy - Belo - Bekopaka

  • After breakfast, drive to the Tsingy of Bemaraha. There will be lunch at Belo Sur Tsiribihina after that you will head north on a drive-by land track well- known as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Cross the two rivers-Tsiribihina and Manambolo by a small car ferry before arriving at Bekopaka village.

Day 6: Bekopaka

  • It is one of the most extraordinary sites with the real cathedral of limestone. The dense network of faults, cracks, and blocks of limestone carved in blades is one of the most prominent landscapes of Madagascar. There are 200 million years when the sea of Bemaraha which cover this region. There are six species of lemurs, reptiles and 53 varieties of birds among the marvels which are also the housing environment of the smallest sorts of a chameleon, the “Brookesia`` and where you can appreciate the magnificent sunset.

Day 7: Bekopaka –Morondava

  • Drive to Morondava town via the famous “Allée des Baobabs. Arrive on time for great pictures when the sun is low, raking light, and smooth trunks reflect the orange rays of the sun. Settle at the hotel before the sea for dinner. Lunch at Belo sur Tsiribihina.

Day 8: Morondava

  • After a long drive today, you’ll have a free day at the beach. You can choose to participate in optional water activities like scuba diving and snorkeling.

Day 9: Morondava- Antsirabe

  • Leave Marondava early in the morning as the distance to Antsirabe is long. But there will be stops for photos and break if necessary. Lunch in the city of Miandrivazo .

Day 10: Antsirabe - Ranomafana

  • Stay on road N7 for progress to the south and shop around Ambositra. You will get an opportunity to see carved wood or a piece of marquetry box made with care at the Zafimaniry artisan’s workshop. Stroll the town before moving to Ranomafana, the heart of Betsileo tribe. It is the highest part of Madagascar, and the road is winding as well. Turn east arriving at the rainforest at late noon.

Day 11: Ranomafana

  • Jump into the Ranomafana National Park and find out the beautiful sites in the rainforest and the primary forest. You can see various species of lemurs such as Golden bamboo lemur (Hapalemur aureus), redfronted brown lemur (Eulemur fulvus), and red-bellied lemur (Eulemur rubriventer). There are also some rare and endangered species such as Greater bamboo lemur (Hapalemur simus). Botanically the park is genetic reservoir to some rare, endemic plant species, and many medicinal plants. Back to the hotel for lunch.

Day 12: Ranomafana - Ambositra

  • Head back to Antananarivo where you pass and spend one night in Ambositra.

Day 13: Ambositra - Antsirabe

  • Wake up early in the morning and drive to Antsirabe through different botanical settings. On your way, you will see some sceneries typical of the highlands of Madagascar.

Day 14: Antsirabe - Antananarivo

  • Stay on road N7 for progress to reach Antananarivo. You will get an opportunity to see carved wood or a piece of marquetry box made with care at the Zafimaniry artisan’s workshop. Stroll the town before lunch in Ambatolampy.

Day 15: Antananarivo

  • We will take you to the airport
