Located at 140 km from Antananarivo, Andasibe is in the east of Madagascar, on the RN2 towards Tamatave. This region rich in Malagasy flora and fauna makes the reputation of the big island.
On the way, visit the insect and reptile reserve of Mr. Peyreiras in Marozevo. The Peyrieras Reserve located in Marozevo, on the National Road 2, is a step not to be missed, before reaching the National Park of Andasibe. It constitutes a beautiful introduction to the fauna of Madagascar, thanks to its numerous varieties of endemic animals. Concretely, this reserve also acts as a breeding center, with as a backdrop a very beautiful landscape decorated with a valley of rice fields, mango trees and lychee plantations. A visit to this site allows you to discover a multitude of animals including chameleons of all colors, amphibians, snakes and more. The private reserve owes its name to the entomologist and naturalist André Peyrieras.
